TD had for long depended on sale of fresh milk as the major product, which exposed it to effects of price volatility and unstable demand, affecting the profitability negatively. Consequently, a decision was taken to engage in value addition. Currently, apart from sale of raw milk to processors and other bulk buyers, TD produces and markets, under the “TOORO DAIRY” brand, yoghurt and pasteurized milk.
